ABOUT ME
As an executive at The Boeing Company, Jennifer serves as senior intellectual property counsel in Boeing Intellectual Property – Military and Space. In this capacity, she counsels several businesses in the Defense, Space and Security business unit, including Space and Launch, Commercial Derivative Aircraft and Autonomous Systems. Jennifer’s representative programs include all commercial and government satellite systems, VC25-B (Air Force One) and Poseidon P-8 (a U.S. Navy reconnaissance aircraft). She also serves as legal counsel for Liquid Robotics, Inc., a Boeing subsidiary. Jennifer graduated Harvard University with cum laude honors in Government and The University of Chicago Law School.
During her tenure with Boeing, she previously served as the responsible attorney for Boeing’s subsidiary, Spectrolab which is the space industry’s leading supplier of solar cells and panels; compliance counsel with respect to the FTC Consent Order governing Boeing’s United Launch Alliance joint venture; and as program counsel supporting Boeing’s Commercial Satellite Systems business, where she was responsible for supporting business development and contract teams pursuing commercial satellite construction and related contracts throughout the world. Notably, she led transaction teams in both Israel and Saudi Arabia.
Her responsibilities include counseling programs regarding strategies to protect company intellectual property in government and commercial markets, participating in teams preparing proposals for major U.S. government and commercial programs, negotiating and drafting intellectual property licenses, advising Boeing’s innovative Satellite Development Center in El Segundo, CA, and providing training to senior leadership, contracts and supplier management groups.
Jennifer is a member of Boeing’s Amelia Earhart Society and Boeing Women Inspiring Leadership (BWIL). She is the executive champion for the El Segundo chapter of the Boeing Black Employees Association (BBEA) and also serves as president of the Law Department’s Council for Diversity and Inclusion.
Prior to joining Boeing in February 2012, Jennifer was General Counsel for Marshall & Swift/Boeckh, the leading provider of building valuation software, data and technologies to the appraisal, assessor and property insurance industries. Jennifer began her career as a corporate & securities associate at Mayer Brown LLP, one of the world’s largest law firms.
The Los Angeles Business Journal selected Jennifer as a finalist for its 2015 Corporate Counsel of the Year Award. She has also been honored by the Association of Corporate Counsel’s Southern California Chapter as a “Rising Star” and by the City Club on Bunker Hill with the Woman of the City Club Award recognizing her service to the community, professional accomplishments and contributions to the Club. Jennifer was also named one of the Nation’s Best “Top 40 Lawyers under 40” by the National Bar Association and IMPACT. In addition, out of those top 40 lawyers, Jennifer was awarded the “Excellence in Innovation” award recognizing her fresh outlook on her company’s historical and emerging legal challenges. She is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation which is an honorary organization limited to one third of one percent of lawyers licensed to practice in each jurisdiction.
In addition to passionately practicing law, Jennifer is committed to serving and supporting local community organizations and professional associations.
